Unintented obsessions

Datum

March 2019

“Unintended obsessions” is the first issue by J.M Almqvist.
The work is about memories and how they are rather an illusion then history. Yet it is what we build our identity upon, ignoring that the foundation is just fragments of our true self.
I have explored my past, or what is left of it, and found these fragments before they were lost.

Outtake:
“I have always been captivated by nature, and I grew up surrounded by it. Tall pine forests cradling every town, with the Baltic Sea always so close to the east. Summers were short but bright, and so were the cycles of colourful floral spectra. A couple of weeks when the sun never sets in June, drenched in three months of warmth and growth at its very best before the cool hands of autumn laid its grasp on the land. Shortly after, winter would lay its first coat of white. In some unintentional way I think those colours lived in the peripherals of my perception for the sake of survival, in a place where darkness thrived.“
